Exfoliating the skin is important, as it removes dead cells, but just as you exfoliate your skin, you can also exfoliate your lips.

The lips are a sensitive part of the face that needs attention and care, which is not always given properly. The lips usually reflect changes in weather, the harmful effects of the sun, dryness, cracks and dehydration. To avoid the above, it is suggested to exfoliate them at least once a month.

The recommended frequency to exfoliate the lips is once every 15 days or every three weeks, depending on their sensitivity, since exfoliation should not be abused, as it can damage the natural protection of the lips, the skin and crack it, also you never have to remove the skin from the lips because you will only cause an unnecessary wound.

Sugar with olive oil

In a bowl add a tablespoon of granulated brown sugar with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Mix until you get a sandy paste texture, which is not too fluid or too thick.

Sugar and Vaseline

This is a scrub that achieves deep exfoliation, plus an extra touch of hydration.

In a container add a little Vaseline and half a tablespoon of sugar, mix well with the help of a small spatula.

Exfoliate your body at home

This exfoliator is recommended for chapped or dry lips, which has greater hydration, so it is suggest once every 15 days, as it is a deep cleansing and repair for the lips.

In a bowl, mix 3 teaspoons of sugar with a tablespoon of almond oil. Stir well and add Vaseline to the mixture until a homogeneous texture is obtained.

Coffee with olive oil

This scrub is much softer than the previous ones, it is ideal for lips that are sensitive to the touch.

In a container add a tablespoon of coffee and a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil until you get a smooth and creamy texture.

Application:

You can use a cotton puff or your own fingers, take a little of the mixture and spread it on the lips in a circular way, leave it on for three to five minutes. Remove with a cotton pad moistened with lukewarm water until the mixture is completely removed.

After the exfoliation it is very important to moisturize the lips with a lip balm, there are several on the market, look for the one that best suits your budget or use the one you are used to.

Also remember to use lipsticks with repairing, soothing and nourishing ingredients.
